The Department of English and American Studies (Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia) organises its 17th literary colloquium (6–8 NOVEMBER), an annual event
connecting researchers, scholars, and students. Each year, the event focuses on a different theme, featuring a variety of activities likepresentations, workshops, film screenings, and
discussions led by academics. It primarily targets humanities students, providing a distinctive and rewarding experience.
This year`s theme is: LITERATURE AND THE NATURAL WORLD
You may explore any subtopic under this theme, whether it be the newest research trends like eco–criticism, climate fiction, environmental dystopias, posthumanism and nature or more “traditional” topics like nature as a character in literature, green romanticism, the pastoral tradition in literature or transcendentalism. Choose the format that best suits you, be it a presentation, workshop or interview with writers or scholars.
We invite those interested to submit a 200–word abstract through our submission form (click here) by 15 OCTOBER 2023
PLEASE NOTE:
– There is no registration fee for presenters.
